1853 seated liberty half dol.

I have a 1853 liberty seated half dol. and there is a small "o or c " on the back side above the egale on the rim just above the S in stateS. can any one tell me of a varyation of this coin with this mint mark on it. note the letter is raised. nuggets39@yahoo.com

As far as I know, the only 2 mintmarks for the 1853 half dollar are no mintmark, and the o but it should not be on the rim. can you provide a scan ?

it could be a die break, or some other flaw in manufacturing a scan would help
