Hi there, I found two of these coins in a large lot i recently purchased. At first i believed it to be a Severus Alexander, but now I am not so sure. I think it could also be from Macendonia, since the reverse mentions Koinon. Any help identifying it would be much appreciated. And if possible a price listing or a good location to get an up-to-date price listing. Thanx again.

The pictures of these coins are under the "Coin Identification" Forum. Listed under "Severus Alexander?"

The obv: Roman male facing right, with a feathered helmet/headdress on.
The Rev: Man on horse, running right, and either spearing or grabbing something (unclear) in the top left field, with what looks like his left hand.

The underlying principal for the founding of GoldBank is that the U.S.A is entering a very long period of negative economic growth (inflation adjusted) and that our government solutions of more debt and more money printing will only exacerbate the problem --- more debt on the backs of our children and a destroyed currency. Gold has gone up in value every year for the last 8 years --- I can’t think of any other investment class that has performed that consistently in the same time frame.

Other alternative long term investment options are difficult to discover, and even if an investor did acquire a successful investment strategy it will be subject to the voracious appetite of a kleptocratic and predatory government that is hungry for tax revenue. Physical ownership of gold and silver has been, and will continue to be one of the few investments that will survive and prosper in the coming years.

I always love to collect this type of ancient coins. It is about my hobby. Mostly ancient coins attract me more because it looks very differ from others and another that there is some logic behind of making that.
