Here is a rare Treb. Gallus anto with blundered reverse legend: MARTEM PRO(PV)GNATOREM. The 'PV' letters are missing!
The number of known specimens are 5-6. (Source: Moneytrend 11.2008.)
Mr. William Metcalf's opinion about this coin:
"The MARTEM PROGNATOREM reverse is new to me. I presume
you're writing me because I wrote the article many years ago on these coins;
in one of the footnotes, and in Roman Imperial Coinage, various errors in
rendering legends are itemized. I see no reason to doubt the coin's
genuineness. Congratulations on an interesting find."
