A friend recently asked me to try and find out more about this coin so that she can sell it. I could find no reference to it or to the gold content.
Could anyone please help.

I know this is an old post but did you happen to find out any more info on these coins. I'm getting more and more into the obscure stuff. Just wondering..

Taiwan. Gold 2000 Yuan Year 60 (1971), KMX-M616, L&M-1128, choice brilliant UNC, 60th anniversary of the Republic. AGW 0.9316 oz.

sure your friend's is gold? Also struck in silver.
