This is my first attempt at scanning some ancient coins I found in the Jordanian desert. My scan results don't show the images well on the coins. The scanner is emphasizing everything so that you can't see it well. It's clear alright, but it's clearly magnifying imperfections that the naked eye doesn't see.

It seems like that you want to scan your ancient coins. It is a good idea to scan it and make it new. According to me you should be use some tools that helps you for scanning the coins.
