So.. I have a roman empire coin. In the obverse reads LICINIVS NOB CAES. In the catalog of this site reads that there should read LICINIVS IVN NOB CAES, but in my coin only reads LICINIVS NOB CAES.. When i more closely observated the coin, there wasn't even printed IVN.. So it's possible that i have a special coin:confused: Heres the link to the coin i have, but look what there reads in the obverse of the coin - http://www.coinscatalog.com/coin_view.php?id_catalog_int=42323008 - and mine appears to be bronze..

I'd like a fast answer because in making a list from all my coins.. Thank you :D

EDIT.:

Also i found a coin that's of Licinius I.. I have observed all photos, but none is similar with the text.. Here's a link to the most similar - http://www.coinscatalog.com/showpic.php?id_catalog_int=42303001 - The different into my coin in this photo is that the "clothes" of the obverse figure are not similar, neither eyes.. In the other side of the coin where this Venus, eagle and the other figure are, The text is right, but the mint made print is SMHNT and delta or other weard letter... I'm Rilly stunned with these coins i have discovered

If you want to have some pictures i've scanned with a scanner, send me an email --> daniel.saarnisuo@suomi24.fi

Your coin is from Licinius II (Junior) who was Caesar.

And you say he didnŽt print the "missing" IVN in the coin?

Hello Nemesis!
It will be better if we have the image or at least full description: Legends, bust type, reverse description, mint mark. There are coins with legend LIC LICINIVS NOB CAES but the reverse is not VOT V but IOVI CONSERVATORI
minted in Ticinum and noted in the footnote for RIC, Vol. VII, p. 371, 71.
If this is the case you have a very rare coin. The regular issue with obverse legend LICINIAN LICINIVS IVN is rated r5, r4, r3 depending of the mint mark. Yours should be r5 since it was noted only once in Catalogue Gerin. It will be grate if you can send me ( vc@coinscatalog.com ) or post the images here.
Happy New Year!
