Hi there, this is my first post, I seem to have addopted the coin collecting bug its very addictive, but really enjoy the challange of finding out as much info on my coins as possible, and others that are up for a auction are also of interest to me, i have been at it for a month now reading books from the libary ect. the big frustration for me at this momment is the reference numbers dont add up on different sites, as in RIC, BMC, cohan. ect ect some sites they work and others they come up totaly different to the coin in question, why is this, I have a coin that is ric 120 var could anyone tell me what the var stands for, and the lady in question on the coin is it felicitas or pax, as 1 reference has it as felicitas the other as Pax Thanks for any help in advance Paul.
PS could anyone recomend a good software on Roman coins that could make a search by reference numbersand give plenty of pictures and info. thanks again Paul.
