Hello, brand new to the forum and hope you can help me I.D. a coin that I have. It is worn pretty well so plese bear with me as I only have partial words and symbols to deal with. The coin is copper and has a "40" stamped in the center on the ob? It had the letters DG and then const......, I can't read the rest. On the rev is a shield with 11 stars in a circle surmonted by a crown. The only legible letters on this side are ......nces. I know that is not a lot to work with. Any ideas?
