Hello Kramer!
I do not know a lot about the contemporary coinage but I will try to help with some information :)
This is Ethiopian gold coin issued by Menelik II (1889 - 1913 AD). Ethiopia has very "strange" way of dating but I think this one is 1895 which converted to our system is 1903 AD. Depending of the weight it can be WERK = 7.000 grams .900 gold priced Fine $120 - Uncirculated $425; Half WERK = 3.500 g., .900 gold (F $100 - Unc. $385); 1/4 WERK = 1.750 g., .900 gold (F $50 - Unc. $285). The weight may varies because of disparities in planchet thickness. (Krause, World Coins 1801 - 1900, p. 311, # 16-17)
Hope this will help.

Thank you for your answer...
Now...I promise you I am VERY confused thou..
I found this coin in the deepest forest in Finland, at mine summerplace in a old house that I own.
The rumors says that there should be around 40 coins up there. I think I should check this out. Cause its in VERY good shape! All the coins will be, cause they have been stored inside the wall, around clothing.
Thank you your help, I wonder what the text says

Hello Kramer!
The obverse reads in Amharic, "Menelik II, King of kings of Ethiopia." The date is below the bust. The reverse reads, "Conquering lion of the tribe of Judah." The denomination is written in exergue along with the mint mark A of Paris and the cornucopia and torch privy marks.
No, I do not know to read Amharic, but it just happened to have a note in my old edition of Krause :)
Let me know when you find the rest of the treasure :) so I can bid for a coin :)
Have fun Kramer!
